About Working at envelio

Too easy is boring! Together, we are on a mission to drive forward the energy transition. We love what we do, and we are unafraid to dive in. We believe in taking ownership of our work and in continuously growing and evolving. In short: own it, love it, grow with it.

We are a humble team of coffee and maté lovers with over 20 nationalities. With our geek humor, our love for emojis and random facts is only natural. Over 250 envelians are already on board. Dive in and thrive!

Your Role

As Team Lead Product Management for Grid Planning, currently comprising five team members, you will take responsibility for the strategic direction and ongoing development of our solutions for grid planning and grid connection. These include binding and non-binding grid connection assessments, operational and strategic grid planning, and power system calculations in general. You will lead a team of Product Managers and a Staff Product Manager, enabling grid operators to process connection requests quickly, in compliance with regulatory requirements, and through automated workflows, while proactively planning their grids. You will take an end-to-end approach to workflows across applications – from connection requests and planning through to the handover to grid operations – and collaborate closely with the entire leadership team in our Tech organization. Drawing on your technical expertise and knowledge of grid planning processes, you will ensure that our products remain innovative and aligned with our customers’ long-term needs, particularly those of distribution system operators across Europe.

How You Make an Impact

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Coaching: You lead and develop a growing team of Product Managers and foster a motivating, collaborative environment.
  • Team Building: You oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding, and develop suitable roles and specializations within the team.
  • Performance & Development: You set clear goals, monitor progress, and support your team’s development.
  • Team Organization: You improve workflows and processes and collaborate closely with other tribes, particularly the Operations and Grid Hub tribes.
Functional Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy: Together with the Product Leadership Team, you develop the strategy and roadmap for grid planning and grid connection, aligning them with company objectives, market needs, and customer requirements.
  • End-to-End Thinking: You shape products around grid operators’ workflows – from connection requests through to implementation.
  • Customers & Stakeholders: You support key customer projects and ensure effective collaboration across the relevant teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Security: You incorporate regulatory requirements, critical infrastructure protection requirements (KRITIS), and IT security into the strategy and roadmap.
  • Product Development & Domain Expertise: You evolve product management practices, including the use of AI, and contribute your expertise in grid planning and grid connection.
