Your Role
As part of our Sales & BizDev team, you ensure that envelio wins the tenders and proposals it should win, and that no opportunity is lost to process gaps, inconsistent quality, or missed deadlines. In a market shaped by increasing regulatory requirements, procurement processes at DSOs are becoming more complex and more frequent. You bring structure, quality and institutional knowledge to how we respond.
As Bid Manager Smart Grid (all genders), you sit at the intersection of Sales, Product, Legal and other departments. You own the end-to-end tender and proposal process — from go/no-go evaluation to final submission, while also raising the commercial proposal quality that makes every offer stronger.

How You Make an Impact
- You own the end-to-end tender process — from go/no-go evaluation through final submission — ensuring every response is strategically prioritized, well-coordinated across teams and delivered on time
- You shape the commercial story in proposals together with the Sales Consultants: structuring the narrative, value argumentation, and response logic and consolidating all inputs into one coherent, high-quality document
- You raise proposal quality across all deal types, not only formal tenders — developing and maintaining standards for offer structures, pricing narratives and value propositions that Sales can apply consistently
- You build envelio's institutional knowledge on tenders and proposals — maintaining a knowledge base of wins, losses and lessons learned so that expertise stays with the company, not with individuals
- You manage the full post-submission cycle, including Q&A coordination and structured win/loss reviews that feed directly back into how we position and respond in the future
Your Profile
Perfection is a myth! We’re more interested in the human behind the screen, so think of these criteria as helpful directions — we're excited to see how your unique skills might fit in.
- You have several years of experience in tender management, bid management, proposal writing or a comparable role — ideally in a B2B software or energy context
- You are able to manage multiple complex processes simultaneously without losing control of quality, deadlines or stakeholder coordination
- You have strong written communication skills in German and English — you write clearly, persuasively, and at the right level of detail for a senior decision-maker audience
- You understand how commercial proposals work: pricing logic, value argumentation, risk framing and the difference between technically correct and genuinely compelling
- You are familiar with procurement processes in regulated industries — experience with energy sector procurement (DSOs, utilities, public sector) is a strong plus
- You work in a highly structured, autonomous, and deadline-driven manner — you set the deadlines, you don't wait to be reminded of them
- You have strong process and systems thinking with the drive to build and continuously improve scalable workflows and standards
- You are curious, enjoy learning, and are open to using AI tools in your daily work
- You are fluent in German and English; both are required for this role
